Internal ballast lines are either inspected manually by Ritespec surveyors or by use of robotic crawlers. Each section of pipe is allocated a reference number, extent of corrosion and pitting is recorded, and a repair specification prepared.

Ritespec have already successfully surveyed and supervised steel and coating repairs of ballast lines of eight LNG vessels in Dubai Drydocks.
